Kids Karate Class (Dragons)

We understand that children ages 6 and 7 may not be quite ready to transition into a classroom full of older children. Our Dragons program is the perfect place for children to flourish while building their skills and confidence.

As part of karate for kids, we start by teaching children in Vallejo, CA, essential self-defense techniques, so they have the confidence to protect themselves at a young age.
- We then move into other martial arts training, including how to punch and kick effectively. Children will work in groups to build teamwork skills and respect for one another.
- Through skills lessons and activities, your child will increase their mindfulness, improve their health and wellness and grow in a positive, social environment. They will also be held to behavioral rules and expectations in class, which can help them learn discipline and good behavior.
The belt system in karate helps to build confidence by establishing points of pride for every belt achievement made throughout your child’s journey.
Your child will learn how to work both alone and as part of a team to solve challenges and accomplish their goals. This can set them up for success in social situations like school.
Learning practical self-defense helps children feel safer and more secure at home, in school and in public at times when they may feel otherwise.
Throughout the entire program, our trained instructors will provide feedback and encouragement, as well as introduce constructive criticism—a necessary part of maturing.
